Mr. David Adom

Currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AA & K  Consulting Services Limited. Mr. David Adome between periods 1996 to 2000 served as the Comissioner of Internal Revenue in Ghana. As Commissioner of Internal Revenue, he supervised the drafting of passage of the current principal enactment of income tax, the Internal Revenue Act, 2000 (Act 592). Mr. Adom also set up the Large Taxpayer Office which formed the basis for the establishment of a Large Taxpayer Unit which is responsible for over seventy percent of total collection in the internal revenue sector.
In his other various capacities in the Internal Revenue Service, Ghana as the Deputy Commissioner, Finance & Administration and Head, Research, Planning and Monitoring Departments, Mr. Adom established the Tax Audit Unit and put in place procedures and programmes for internal operational audit and external audit of taxpayers.
Mr. Adom also served as a member of the Committee that implemented the Value Added Tax when it was introduced in 1998. In 1998, Mr. David Adom was engaged by World Bank as a Consultant on Tax Compliance and the Informal Sector.
In private practice, Mr. David Adom has been the Lead Consultant on tax audit jobs outsourced by the Revenue Agencies Governing Board (RAGB). He has also been engaged in managing tax compliance issues for many blue chip companies in Ghana. His work policy research and advocacy in tax rate reduction and widening the tax policy direction of government striking a delicate balance in lowering corporate tax rate to stimulate growth in the economy and widening the tax net to increase government tax revenue.


Mr. John Kweku Defortse

is a Tax Administrator with a multi-dimensional  background in Economics, Accounting and Finance acquired through academic and on the job training and experience. A result driven player seeking to develop his professional competence in a more competitive environment. He holds a B.A. (Hons) Economics, and Sociology Degree from the University of Ghana in 1987 and a member of the Institute of Charted Accountants (Ghana).
Mr. Defortse has over 21 years experience in tax administration. He joined the Internal Revenue Service in 1987 as Inspector of Taxes and rose to the rank of Regional Director of Internal Revenue Services in the Ashanti Region.
He has worked in various capacities within the Internal Revenue Service as Head of Financial Institutions Unit of the Large Taxpayer Office, Chief Inspector Taxes and Deputy head, and head of Audit Department in the Large Taxpayers Unit.
He is currently a Chief Consultant with AA&K Consulting Services Limited.


Mr. William Charles Sefah Agyebeng

is a B.A (Hons) Sociology Degree Holders from the University of Ghana in 1974. Mr. Sefa Agyebeng has over 25 years practical experience in tax administration and training. He joined the Internal Revenue Department in 1975 and rose to the rank of Head of Training.
He has held many position in the local and international tax administration and training including Country Correspondent for the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA), the Southern African Regional Director for CATA and as External Examiner in Taxation for national Board for Professional and Technical Examinations (NABPTEX).


Ms. Rachel Buckman

is a B. A. Social Sciences Degree holder from the University of Cape Coast  in 1993 with a Diploma in Education from the same University. Additionally she has a Certificate in Budgeting and Financial Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Ms. Aretha Aidoo

has fourteen years in practical experience in tax administration. She joined Internal Revenue Service in 1994 for National Service and rose through the ranks to Senior Inspector of Taxes. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics with Sociology) Degree from the University of Ghana in 1994. Currently she is Senior Tax Consultant in our firm.


Mr. Albert Akrong

has seven years practical experience in auditing. He joined Elgala, Atitso and Associates, a Chartered Accounting Firm in 1997

He graduated from University of Ghana, Legon in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences.


Ms. Yvonne Afflu

joined the firm as a National Service Person in 2006. She graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon in the same year with a BSc Admin (Accounting Option).


Mr. Samuel Laryea Mensah

joined AA & K Consulting Services Limited in January 2008. He is a member of the Association of Charted Certified Accountants (ACCA).


Mr. Samuel Akonu

joined the firm in February 2010 and is yet to complete the Final Part IV of Institute of Charted Accountants (Ghana) Examination. Prior to joining us he worked in the Finance Department of Metalloplastica Ghana Ltd. and worked as an Assistant Inspector of Taxes in the former Internal Revenue Service as a Tax Auditor.
